The
construction technology of cable-stayed bridge developed rapidly
because its beautiful appearance, economical cost and long
span. Load of cable-stayed bridge is undertaken by tower,
cable and girder jointly. Cable-stayed cable must undertake
all deck load, its stress amplitude is big, and it is exposed,
so it is a important part of general concern.
¡¡¡¡PWS(Parallel
Wires Stay cable) is used widely at present, but it has some
disadvantages:
1. complex production process, high technical difficulty etc.
2.Difficult transportation. Diameter, length and self-weight
of PWS is more and more big with the cable-stayed bridge span
increasing. It is difficult to transport these big cable by
road.
3. it is necessary to use large-scale special equipments for
lifting, installation, dragging, and stressing.
4.Difficult to replace. It is need to replace stay-cable in
the case of traffic interruption.
5.Out
hot-extruded HDPE sheath is easy to damage and is difficult
to repair to achieve the original quality.
¡¡Based
on the above consideration, FASTEN multi-strands stay cable
system is developed. It is a kind of stay cable consisted
of filled epoxy-coated strands. The strands could be transported
to construction site in rolls, installed and anchored one
by one. The outside of cable is a HDPE pipe. The anchorage
of this cable system is filled with grout or not according
to requirements.
FASTEN multi-strands stay cable system is of excellent performance
in fatigue resistance and anti-corrosion and is easier to
transport, install and construction, which make the construction
of cable-stayed bridge more reliable and economical.
