Prestressed
rock and soil anchor is a forefront subject developed rapidly
over the past twenty years. Its development depends on the
new research results of other relative subjects. Before 1970s,
the tendon material of prestressed rock and soil anchor was
almost high-strength wires. With development of prestressed
material, strand became the main tendon material of prestressed
rock and soil anchor because it has higher strength and is
no need to cut accurately.
Prestressed rock and soil anchor is a kind of compound structure
which can transfer cable force to the stratum. One of its
end is fixed into the steady stratum, another end is closely
integrated with the reinforced structure. After it was installed,
the reinforced structure is prestressed to restrict its harmful
distortion and displacement.
Prestressed rock and soil anchor is often corrupted by the
groundwater (specially groundwater with corrosive medium)
and stress corrosion under high stress. It is important that
using high corrosive strands as tendons of prestressed rock
and soil anchor to guarantee its safety, durability and security
during the service life. In PTI specification named recommendations
for prestressed rock and soil anchors, there is a rule that
epoxy coated strand used in prestressed rock and soil anchor
must be filled epoxy-coated strand.
Based on the actual situation of prestressed rock and soil
anchors at present, FASTEN imported the product line of filled
epoxy-coated strand which can meet requirements of ASTM A882/A882M,
can developed its own prestressed rock and soil anchors which
can provide perfect anti-corrosive and durable capability.
